The Zoning Hearing Board consists of five members. The Zoning Hearing Board, pursuant to State law, deals with interpretation of the Borough’s zoning ordinances. They hear and decide on applications for appeal from decisions of Borough officials, special exceptions and variances of zoning regulations. The Board also handles appeals related to the Borough’s floodplain ordinance. This autonomous Board holds public hearings that are advertised in advance in local newspapers. Records of the proceedings are maintained. An appeal of the their findings may be taken to the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County.
