  • Signs are posted at park entrances indicating the park is closed for everyone’s safety.
  • Contractors from Kinsley Construction and Environmental Scientists will be working in the area on weekdays. Borough staff will be monitoring progress regularly.
  • All heavy equipment will enter from Ninth Street, where the staging area will be located.
  • “No Parking” areas will be posted along Ninth Street to enable construction vehicles safe access.
  • A pump diverting water will be running during construction hours.

This funding, awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, will help us meet important stormwater management (MS4) requirements while enhancing the natural environment within our community. Restoring the streambanks at 9th Street Park is an investment in both sustainability and quality of life, improving infrastructure to protect our waterways for future generations.
