At the February 14, 2023, North Wales Borough Council Meeting, Borough Council, accepted the resignation of Ward 1 Council Member Eion O’Neill due to his relocation outside the Borough.

Borough Council is now officially accepting letters of interests/resumes from qualified candidates.

Basic Candidate Legal Qualifications: (all qualifications must be met to apply)

  • Registered Elector in the Borough of North Wales.
  • Continuous residency in Ward 1 of the Borough of North Wales for at least one year immediately prior to the appointment.
  • Submission of a Statement of Financial Interest. Please submit it along with your letter of interest/resume.

Letters of interest/resumes will be accepted until Friday, March 10, at 12:00 p.m. Materials may be dropped off, mailed, or emailed to the Borough Office, in care of Christine A. Hart, Borough Manager (chart@northwalesborough.org).  

Borough Council will conduct interviews off all qualified candidates at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

The selected candidate will be appointed for a term ending December 31, 2023 and will be required to run in this year’s election cycle in order to remain in office.

*NOTE: The Borough’s defers to the State Borough Code when a vacancy occurs in the office of a council member. Council has 30 days to fill the vacancy.
